Understanding Omega 3
Before we get into the specifics of choosing an Omega 3 supplement, it’s important to understand what exactly Omega 3 is and why it’s important for our bodies. Omega 3 fatty acids are essential polyunsaturated fats that play a crucial role in maintaining heart health, brain function, and reducing inflammation in the body. There are three main types of Omega 3 fatty acids – ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).
