The Comedy Exposition of 2015

About

The Comedy Exposition is an independent comedy festival celebrating the best in local and national standup. Everyone on the Comedy Exposition team is a comedian, a producer of comedy shows, or both (mostly both). We’re using what we’ve learned at other festivals, at our own shows, and as lovers of Chicago to create the best possible experience for festival attendees and performers.

Every day of the festival takes place in a different neighborhood, across multiple venues. This neighborhood-focused approach means that you’ll be able to walk from show-to-show, making it as easy as possible to see as much comedy as you want.

Each night will feature multiple showcases packed with comics from our submission process—including our favorite local headliners—and surprise drop-ins from our national headliners. A little later in the evening, our main event shows will be stacked with multiple headliners per show, with one doing an extended set.

Submissions

Want to perform at the Comedy Exposition? Read this.

Aside from our festival headliners, the comedians performing at the Comedy Exposition are selected from our submission process. If you are interested in being considered, you can submit on this site beginning on February 1, 2015. Comedians who are accepted will be notified by May 15, 2015. While we will consider all submissions, comedians who did not perform at last year's festival will be given preference.
