Why Doc West Part 2 is Necessary
As someone who thoroughly enjoyed watching the first installment of Doc West, I can confidently say that a sequel is necessary. The first movie left us with a cliffhanger ending and numerous unresolved plot lines that need to be addressed in a second part.
Firstly, the chemistry between Terence Hill and Paul Sorvino as Doc West and Sheriff Roy Basehart was one of the highlights of the first movie. Their banter and dynamic as an unlikely duo was entertaining to watch and it would be a shame not to see them team up again in a sequel.
Moreover, the character development of Doc West was left incomplete in the first movie. We saw glimpses of his mysterious past and his struggle with finding redemption, but there is still so much more to explore. A second part would give us a chance to delve deeper into his character and understand what drives him.
Additionally, there were several loose ends with regards to the supporting characters such as Sheriff Basehart’s daughter, Lily, and her relationship with Doc West. Their romance was hinted at but never fully explored. It would be interesting to see how their relationship develops in the sequel.
